Montréal-based trumpeter Émilie Fortin joins Alkali Collective for an evening of new contemporary music. Featured on the program is the world premiere of a new composition by Cris Derksen, one of three upcoming commissions of Canadian composers for the ensemble. Also featuring works by Missy Mazzoli, Jennifer Walshe, and more!

Enjoy an evening of contemporary chamber music highlighting works by both established and early career Canadian and Atlantic composers. Featuring works by the winners of Alkali Collective’s Call for Scores: Andrew Noseworthy, Hsiu-Ping (Patrick) Wu and India Gailey, alongside works by Ann Southam, Derek Charke and Jared Miller.
This concert will be live-streamed. In-person tickets will occur as per the Nova Scotia government’s restrictions. If available, ticket holders will be required to provide proof of vaccination.
